At Gatti Vision, each member of our vision care team is selected by Dr. Amber Dunn based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients.

Dr. Dunn wants all of her patients to feel "at home" when they come in for their exam. Our practice is small and intimate and we aim for excellence. Our knowledgeable staff at Gatti Vision will work with you to help you understand your vision insurance coverage and provide financial alternatives to ensure you get the best vision care possible.

We know that you have a choice when it comes to your optometrist, so we strive to provide comprehensive eye exams, a great selection of glasses, and personalized care.

Dr. Amber G. Dunn

Dr. Dunn graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2013 and then completed a residency at the Roseburg VA in Roseburg, Oregon specializing in geriatric care and ocular disease. After completing her residency, she opened Gatti Vision as well as becoming an assistant professor at Pacific’s college of Optometry. Dr. Dunn provides comprehensive and medical eye exams for the entire family, with a specialty in dry eye disease.

Since the start of optometry school, Dr. Dunn has been highly active in organized optometry. As a student she represented her school on the AOSA Board of Trustees, and in her fourth year of school was elected the Vice President of all the optometry schools in North America. Since graduation she has served on several committees within the American Optometric Association and served five years on the board for the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association.

Dr. Dunn was awarded Young OD of the year for Oregon in 2018 and received the National American Optometric Association Media Advocacy Award in 2022.

When not seeing patients or consulting for Alcon, Dr. Dunn enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Dr. Rachel Martel

Dr. Martel graduated from Pacific University in 2020, but that is not where her career in eyecare began. She first started as an ABO certified optician making and dispensing glasses. She later went on to becoming a certified ophthalmic technician, working at the Portland VA, before deciding she wanted to play a larger role in the health of her patients.

While in optometry school, Dr. Martel developed a keen interest in binocular vision and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. She earned her Master of Education, Vision Function in Learning from Pacific University which is a program that focuses on vision problems as they relate to children’s reading and learning processes.

Outside of her time caring for her patients, Dr. Martel enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband and two dogs. She also enjoys traveling, playing board games, and reading historical fiction.

Dr. Mark Yost

Dr. Yost graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2022. Born and raised in San Francisco, he moved to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!). His license plates are changed, and he pretends to be a Oregon native now.

During optometry school, Dr. Yost was a student intern at Gatti Vision. He later had clinical rotations at the Bend, Oregon VA and the Peace Health hospital in Eugene, OR. When he is not at Gatti Vision, Dr. Yost works in LASIK and refractive surgery – ask him about your options!

Dr. Yost is an avid basketball fan, loves wine, and has a black cat named Mario.

Meet The Staff

Office Manager Alex:

Dr. Dunn started Gatti Vision with her right hand (wo)man, Alex.

Alex pursued an education at Portland State focusing on becoming a dental assistant. While at Portland State, she was also on the cheerleading squad which is where she met Dr. Dunn. When she heard Dr. Dunn was opening up a practice cold, she felt this was an opportunity for a career change. When Gatti Vision opened, she worked full time but has since had 2 children, along with her 4 fur babies. She is home with her kids full time and in the office part time until both are in school.
